My wife will watch reruns of ADVENTURES OF SUPERMAN with me from TVLAND, and an occasional Twighlight Zone or Outer Limits on DVD. But there it ends. She tolerates, but does not understand my collectability chromosome for comics and related books.

Out of all the girl friends from my past, one liked a little bit of Steve Gerber on Man Thing and another actually got into Elfquest...but that was the extent of it.

And I'm ready for both GL and Flash new volumes please...

So does anyone have any idea when this may come out? I ended up picking up all the old 60's GL comics except for what maybe in this volume. DC please print this volume!

I am very curious about next year's Silver Age volumes. It seems like Green Lantern, Hawkman, and Flash are all due for their next volumes. Adam Strange seems extremely likely as a volume one for next year. And JLA seems to be more or less annual at this point. We've also been told that Atomic Knights is a likely followup to Adam Strange. Geez, that sounds like quite a load of Julie Schwartz Silver Age material. But will we see it all in one year? Maybe Atomic Knights will be delayed until 2005...

What a minute?

Adam Strange?

what? where? when? (AND Atomic Knights even being possible? WHERE?????)

(Oh, and this is pure delight, BTW....but...where hath this been decreed?)

We don't know there will be an Adam Strange. It seems overdue, and I wouldn't be at all surprised to see both it and SA Superman, but I haven't heard anything.

I'm guessing at least 9 Silver/Bronze volumes in '04.

Sorry about that. Not a single book listed (GL, JLA, Flash, Hawkman, Adam, AtKnights) has been announced, to the best of my knowledge. Just guessing.

As for Atomic Knights, in an old conversation Bob said that if they crack a new genre, they would like to start three series. They have categorized Adam as sci-fi and would likely follow up its debut with at least one more title. I think Bob mentioned that Atomic Knights is the forerunner being considered as a followup to Adam.

I think that info came from Bob Wayne at San Diego last year--he was, I suspect, talking off the top of his head, so don't consider it written in stone.

As for the number of Julie Schwartz Silver Age archives next year, I'm counting on Flash 4 and Green Lantern 5, hoping for Adam Strange 1, and thinking that Hawkman 2 might still show up before the end of this year as the mystery eighth SA volume.
I'm still thinking that JLA is likely to be every other year from here on out.

Thanks! (I remember the odds and ends, but never an official announcement...)

Oh, and it is NOT like I wouldn't enjoy GL 5, but I'd rather see Flash 4 or Adam Strange 1 (though a GL 5 gets us closer to...GL 6...and wouldn't that have GL (Vol. 2) 40...first appearance of "the hand" from Crisis, and the origin of the Guardians?)

I've ALWAYS felt a GL special with GL 40, 59 and 87 (Hal meets Alan, Guy and John) would be a natural!)

No idea why my text disappeared.

The full-sized reprint of GL #40 makes the GL archives volume 6 one of my most desired SA collections.

An 80 pager or 100 pager like the one suggested sounds brilliant. If the GL archives hit a lull and #6 looks to be delayed, I would love to see those three GL issues collected as a faux annual.
